Day 1: Arrival at Delhi airport

Greeting and assistance then check in at a hotel.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing.

You will be taken to explore the combine sightseeing of New Delhi and Old Delhi, after the breakfast.

Itinerary:

  • Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India.
  • Red Fort – built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, and a place where president of India hoist the Tricolour flag – “Tiranga” on the occasion of Independence Day – 15 August and delivers a speech to the nation.
  • Chandani Chowk – shopping market.
  • Raj Ghat – cremation of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • The Humyu’s tomb – Mughal Emperor.
  • Qutub Minar – the tallest minaret in the world, built by “Qutub-UD-Din-Aibak” in 1200 CE.
  • India Gate – a war memorial.

Day 3: Delhi – Kalka – Shimla. [623 kms]

Today morning you will be taken to the railway station to  board train to Kalka.

Arrival at Kalka and board the Himalayan Toy train which will take you through the Shivalika ranges to Shimla for 94 kilometres.

Arrive in Shimla and transfer to hotel.

Shimla the queen of hills has a charm which makes it most popular hill resort, situated in the lower ranges Himalayan Mountains, surrounded by pine deodar, oak and Rhododendron forests. The town hosts the splendid colonial edifices, quaint cottages and charming walks.

After the lunch, explore the town with shopping from the Mall & Ridge Road.

Itinerary:

  • Scandal point – a point where the Mall road and Ridge Road connects.
  • Ridge road – the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Dr. Y.S. Parmar the first chief minister of the state. Lakkar bazaar, where you can shop the wooden handicrafts.
  • Mall road – shopping hub.

Day 4: Shimla Sightseeing

Today morning after the breakfast you will be taken to visit the famous places to visit.

Itinerary:

  • Jakhoo Temple – temple of Lord Hanuman, situated on the Jakhoo hills.
  • Christ Church.
  • Summer hill – at an altitude of 2,123 meters, a part of seven hill clatter.
  • Rashtrapati Niwas.
  • Glen – a famous “U” shaped picnic spot.

Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 5: Shimla – Pragpur – Dharamshala [239 kms]

You will take lunch in Pragpur. Arrival at Dharamshala.

Check in at a hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 6: Dharamshala sightseeing

Dharamshala is a small hill town surrounded by the lush greenery wooded oak and conifer trees and snow capped mountains enfold three sides of the town.

Itinerary:

  • Kangra Valley – a picturesque valley in the Himalayas and famous for art and crafts.
  • Bhagsunag Falls – mesmerizing view with the fresh water springs, and slate quarry waterfall is surrounded with by stunning cliffs and trees.
  • Trinud hill.
  • Chintpurni – One of the seven Shakti Peeths of Goddess sati.
